Lincoln Ladies Rounders League Calendar

Hello!

Let us introduce ourselves…

We are all members of teams that gather over the summer months to compete in the Lincoln Ladies Rounders League. For three years we have had lots of fun in the sun on and off the pitch!

Sadly this year the mum of one of the league's most popular captains was diagnosed with breast cancer. It has been a tough time for them but the support from the Macmillan nurses has been immeasurable.

Cancer can impact us all, fortunately registered charity Macmillan is there to provide the much needed practical, medical, emotional and financial support to help improve the lives of those people affected. Without contributions from members of the public they wouldn't be able to supply their vital services, therefore we felt that we wanted to get involved…

After a particularly lively meeting in the 'local' it was decided that the best, most fun, (and possibly the most chilly!) way we could raise funds was to create a (nearly) nude calendar! This, as you can imagine, was no mean feat when the photo shoot was to take place on a windswept rounders pitch in early November!

With all proceeds going straight to Macmillan we really hope that you will dip into your piggy banks, help assist this vital charity and treat yourself, and your friends, to a rather special 2009 calendar!
