Meet the team

Noni

She always fires the team up with her impassioned pep talks and ensures everyone is safely in the pub when it looks like drizzle. Everything you could ask for in a captain.

Mary

Batters have been known to visibly quiver at her fearsome stare that serves as a warning to the ferocious underarm bowl she is poised to release. Rumour has it she was the inspiration behind the song 'Arms of Mary'.

Jenny

The matriarch of the team, Jenny's skills are both admired on and off the field. It is no secret that her half time cakes are the envy of the league.

Ally

Her lightening hands and rapid reactions make her the sharpest backstop in Lincolnshire. Our only 'lefty', she sure confuses the opposition and can often be seen hurtling past fourth post.

Michelle

The glamour puss of the league, first post has never looked so chic. Every move is conducted with an air of poise and elegance. A particular highlight of the season was Michelle's arrival for practice wearing high heels…a different class ladies and gentlemen, a different class.

Sam

The Secretary. When she's not sat behind her desk meticulously organising the league she can be found wowing spectators with her ambidextrous batting abilities.

Christine

Arguably the most zealous and loyal, Christine is a real team player. Cries of her name can be heard for miles around as she sprints, gazelle-like, around those posts after another mammoth hit.

Elinor

The baby of the team, Elinor's youthful exuberance certainly lifts team spirits and those safe hands on second base guarantee no half rounders are conceded.

Helen

When she isn't working in her official capacity as Chairperson of the league Helen is dazzling us on the rounders pitch. A true all rounder, not even an elbow injury could stop her this season.

Becks

Following a series of glorious, heart-attack inducing rounders Becks valiantly attended the England trials. Sadly this is where her international career prematurely floundered. She is now hoping for worldwide recognition as official calendar designer.
